Hektad

Hektad is a pioneer in the New York City graffiti game.

In 1982, at the age of 12, he stepped out into the Bronx to compete with veteran bombers the likes of Mitch 77 and Chris 217. This lead him on a 12-year artistic campaign on New York’s streets and transit system, afterwhich he took a break to focus on his family.

Come 2013, he took back to the streets in a huge way and redefined the scene with his whimsical “Love Drunk” hearts and humorous anecdotes, taking the lead on all things street culture.

Today, Hek’s experimenting with many new mediums tinged with traditional graffiti as he carves out his path towards securing a permanent spot in the annals of NY street art history. We’re glad to have worked with him, because if there is one thing that shines through all of his work; it’s his absolute love for community.
