LEE NICKLESS

Fresh outta rural Australia, Lee Nickless has shown Montreal that he can bring countryside simplicity to big city mayhem. Over the years of his life, as his sense of self and artistic prowess matured, he began experimenting with acrylics and pastels on canvas, devising new and innovative techniques to create depth and texture on two-dimensional surfaces.

Lee’s art draws the onlooker into a world filled with an extraordinary sense of color, unique textures and boyish symbolism; it’s clear that he was raised in the Australian countryside and they’re the underlying inspiration behind most of his paintings.

Lee Nickless created multiple pieces for us at BUNKR Village, including two front-facing murals of birds suspended in separate realities and a beautiful piece you can see for yourself at the Pop-Up Gallery.
